Summer Reading Challenge 2016

15th July 2016

The summer is fast approaching and Wirral Libraries are, once again, taking part in the Reading Agency’s Summer Reading Challenge. The theme this year is Roald Dahl, under the title The Big Friendly Read. The launch of the scheme is 16th July 2016.

Wirral Libraries are inviting the children to visit their local library over the summer holidays and collect cards and rewards for the books they read. Every child who reads and returns at least one book will receive a certificate and any child reading 6 books, or more, will also receive a medal.

The scheme helps maintain reading levels over the summer and encourages the children to be more confident and enthusiastic about their reading choices.
