F2SC & F2GC

Welcome to our F2 page

Here we’ll share the exciting things we get up to throughout the school year.

First week in F2
The children have had a great first week in F2. They have enjoyed exploring our classrooms and playground as well as making lots of new friends.
European Languages Day
This week as part of European Languages Day we have been learning about Holland/The Netherlands. We had a go at a traditional dance as well as drawing some tulips and painting them with watercolours. We also had fun making flags and windmills. The children enjoyed sharing what they had learnt in assembly with the rest of the school.
Making Vegetable Soup
The children enjoyed chopping different vegetables to make vegetable soup.
Diwali
This week we learned all about Diwali, the festival of lights. We sang a Diwali song, looked at Rangoli patterns, read the story of Rama & Sita and made our own diva lamps.
Cake & Coffee Afternoon
We invited our families into school and sang some Harvest and Diwali songs. We then enjoyed some delicious cakes to raise money for Macmillan.
Remembrance Day
This year for Remembrance Day we made our own poppies and held 2 minutes silence in the classroom.
Making Porridge
After looking at the story of Goldilocks and The Three Bears, we wrote instructions on how to make porridge. The children then had a go at making their own porridge to eat.
Elf Run
The whole school took part in a sponsored elf run to raise money for WUTH.
Christmas Play
The children enjoyed performing their Christmas play, ‘Happy Birthday Jesus’, for the whole school and then their parents.
Elf On The Shelf
In December we had two very cheeky elves visit us and they got up to all sorts of mischief!
Mental Health Week
As part of Mental Health Week, the children took part in a variety of activities throughout the week. The highlight of the week was their session with Flourish.
Chinese New Year
To celebrate Chinese New Year the children learnt all about China and the Lunar New Year. They also completed lots of activities and crafts that they shared with the rest of the school in our special assembly.
