Chinese New Year Celebrations

12th February 2021
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR
YEAR OF THE OX

People born in the Year of the Ox are known for being industrious and reliable, as well as honest and earnest.  They are happy to stay in the background without needing to be the centre of attention or getting constant praise.  If you were born in 1973, 1985, 1997 or 2009 you are an Ox.

The Foundation children acted out the story of the Great Race.

The children enjoyed their Chinese Dragon dance, lantern making and their Chinese New Year maths activities.
The Year 1 children enjoyed making their Willow Pattern plate designs, lanterns, dragons, Chinese calligraphy and Chinese flags.
The Year 2 children acted out the Great Race story, researched information about the Year of the Ox, made Ox hats and also designed their own Willow Pattern plates.
