Black History Month

October was Black History Month.

Anna Turnbull from the Minority Ethnic Achievement Service came into assembly to tell the children about Black History Month.  She explained to everyone what a wonderful diverse place we live in and how British culture is made up of many other cultures.

Mrs Hall held a special assembly to discuss respect for others.  We found out about Michael Fuller who was the first black man to become a chief constable in the Police.

We also talked about the important jobs people do to take care of us and help keep us safe.
